I was fortunate to work on a five star cruise line which enabled me to be able to handle many different cultures and hair types. I also worked in a salon in Israel before coming home to England enabling me to bring my huge knowledge and expertise to my clients. Change is a very important factor in anyone's life and we like to encourage this with our customer’s styles. I specialise in all fields of hairdressing including wedding hair up and colour techniques and I am also qualified in all aspects of beauty therapy. I have recently expanded my skills by completeing and graduating from a fantastic specialised makeup course with the freelance academy of makeup, I am now available for specialised makeup for evenings or weddings and amazing mastercalsses.
I am a strong minded business woman and have successfully built a strong business ethos and have won many acolades both local and within the hairdressing industry.

Shai - Director

As much as the hair and beauty is excellent at WOO nothing can beat the fabulous BLT sandwich that I make along with the fabulous cappuccinos and latte's.
I am a partner/director with Sam and enjoy being involved in everything at Woo.
I enjoy having my puppy Bertie at work with me and he is loved by all the clients here at Woo.

Jazmin - Creative Director / Senior Stylist

I started hairdressing as a Saturday girl in Leigh-on-sea and was there for a year and a half. I finished school and went straight to London, Oxford Circus, working at Burlingtons and completed my NVQ level 2. Whilst at Burlingtons I was part of the Young Artistic Team as the youngest member and did hair shows and seminars around England. I took part in salon international and best of all London fashion week where I helped style hair for the Elizabeth Wakely Catwalk. It was then time to move on and explore so I decided to come to WOO. October 2005 we entered Schwarzkopf's creative team show which was held at Cafe Paris in London and won Creative Team of the Year award after presenting our latest collection from the salon. In 2006 I was very happy to be apart of Schwarzkopf’s YATS team which involved me to travel around England doing shows and seminars. I fill that I learnt and achieved a great deal whilst being on the YATS.

I'm Creative Director for woo which involves managing Woo's creative team, also producing Woo's essential looks from month to month. I also organise certain events like Model Searches which I and a few other team members pick the very best models.

Over all I'm very passionate about my work and my role that i have at Woo, I enjoy cutting and styling hair differently and giving customers what they want!

Tash - Senior Stylist

I’ve been at woo now for 5 years, I started my NVQ in 2004 and worked alongside Sam and recieved intense training from her.
I finished my graduation in February 2007 and now I am a Senior Stylist.
I love it at WOO and absolutely love all aspects of my job and the industry I’m in. Taking part in photoshoots, seminars and competition work is a brilliant part of my job.

In October 2008 I became part of the artistic team and have taken part in some fantastic opportunitys, completing a make over for one of the biggest hair style magazines, HAIR. We had to do two complete makeovers from colour to cut which was fantastic.

I assist every Wednesday morning with our in-house training. This involves me training the assistants the same way Sam trained me. I really love this side of my job as it constantly keeps me refreshed. We have our own concept of training. Training our assistants is vital, as they will be the next fantastic graduates on the floor of Woo. The training they are taught consists of the foundations of hair, for example finger waves, pin curls, very classic work. Our conspect at woo is that everybody needs a good strong foundation without this you won’t be fantastic.

Overall I am an excellent all round hairdresser. I am fantastic at Cutting, Colouring and Hair-up’s. I love working with my client’s to achieve the best look for them.

Kerry - Colour Technician

Woo is the first salon I've worked in and I love it. I started here in 2005 as an assistant working my way through my NVQ’s, however in 2008 I decided that colour was my passion. I have been trained to the highest level with goldwelI, I am a colour master and there is not anything that I do not know. Here at Woo I am the head colour technician. All technical colour work is carried out by me and my team of exceptionally educated technicians. My knowledge, expertise and love of colour will assist you in looking and feeling fantastic. I will work together with your stylist during your consultation, enabling you to have a perfect colour to show off your fabulous haircut. Professional home care is essential to help maintain your colour. I will prescribe the correct home care treatments for you to use once you leave the salon.
Every day is different for me at Woo and that’s what I love. I enjoy working with different clients and creating new ideas.

Assistants - Assistants

We have fantastic assistants here at Woo. They are all fully trained in head massage, whether it be during your regular shampoo or if you decide to treat yourself in our luxurious calm room. They are very knowledgable, advising the best and most suited shampoos, conditioners and treatments for your hair and scalp needs.

They are at different stages of their NVQ level 2 training, whilst receiving extra training all the time for colour enableing them to be part of the colour team.

Here at Woo we take training our younger staff members very seriously. Wednesday mornings we have training where the trainees are assisted through colours, cuts and blowdrys. During this time they pass different levels and qualifications which then allows them to work on the salon floor.
