Southend-on-Sea's hottest hair and beauty venue opened it's doors to the
public in March 2005. Situated in the heart of town, directly opposite
Southend Central Station, the much-awaited launch of this 3 floor super
salon has brought a new standard of hairdressing and beauty to Essex
normally associated with the UK's larger towns and cities.
Woo is directed by entrepreneur Sam Bright. After several
successful years in the hairdressing industry, Sam set her sights on building
an independent hairdressing and beauty empire and Woo was born.
Focusing on providing the complete hair and beauty package for both men and
women. Woo offers an extensive range of services including fabulous cutting
and colouring, a specialist colour lounge, beauty rooms, nail centre, a
coffee and licensed bar and Essex's largest range of KMS and Goldwell
professional hair care products. As if you could ask for more, Woo have
also invested in a state of the art calm zone where clients can enjoy a
state of the art indian head massage and hair and scalp treatments.
The shop front is very deceptive; a relatively small fascia opens out within
to reveal a spacious and bright interior. Clean white lines punctuated
with flashes of scarlet gives the salon a fresh and fun feeling. Leather
sofas and plasma screens all add to the relaxing atmosphere that Woo offers.
The launch of Woo has brought a new level of luxury service to
Essex, which has not been seen before.

Colour lounge.
This has individual DVD players so the client can watch films, comedy shows, play Space Invaders or Pac-Man.
Main salon.
This is airy and spacious where all of the latest trends and styles are completed.
Calm room.
This is a room dedicated to indulgence, shagpile carpet relaxing music low lighting and a fish tank. Indian head massage and scalp treatments take part in this room.
Boutique Shop.
New to WOO for 2010 is our fantastic boutique shop on our first floor. We have moved our coffee shop to the back area and at the front now have a fantastic make-up bar with products from the exclusive New C-id range and Bare minerals, offering customers the chance to try out the different brands and browse at their own lesiure. Other products on offer include Dermalogica, Yon-ka, KMS, Bumble & Bumble, Jessica and St.Tropez. The boutique is open to non-clients aswell as clients so there is no pressure whilst you look so feel free to pop in and see our fantastic changes we have made.
The salon offers experts in all areas of hairdressing. you can feel confident with any member of staff and leave feeling fantastic.
We specialise in raccoon and great lengths real hair extensions we pride ourselves
on the size of the bonds which are virtually invisible and are very comftable
to wear.
There are four rooms in the beauty lounge, all of which are very private. The
lounge is also equiped with a shower room. Each therapist is highly trained and
extremley experienced in their fields. There are no phones ringing so you can
indulge in pure relaxation. The beauty lounge uses Yonka skin care and body
ranges. Yonka are used in top spas around the world. The beauty lounge also
offers Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion and Oxygen treatments as used by the stars.
We use ID bare essentials make up this is 100% mineral with nothing added no
preservers, no oil, no chemicals and no fragrance. It gives a flawless coverage
and looks magnificent every time... as seen on TV!
Woo is the best kept secret in Southend. It is the only salon with a fully licensed bar and coffee shop. While having your hair or beauty treatments done you can indulge in a glass of wine, beer, shorts, champagne or the best coffee in Southend. Or if you're hungry you can feast on one of our home made sandwiches/paninis or salads.
Everything is freshly made nothing is pre-packed, our rolls and breads are from our local bakery, Breadwinner in Thorpe bay. All our vegetables and meats are roasted fresh on the premises daily. We only use the best beans for our coffee, the finest teas and luxury Belgian hot chocolate.
Coffees and hot beverages are all complementary for clients receiving services in the beauty lounge or hair salon. |
